Comments
If visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Visitor comments will be checked through Akismet, automated spam detection service.

I collect email addresses with MailerLite. This records your email address and in some cases (if the form specifies) your name.
This information is then stored on MailerLite servers.
When you sign up to receive a free book from this site your email address will be used to deliver your free content via BookFunnel.
When you give your email address to receive a free download, you will also be added to my Newsletter list. You will then receive relevant emails related to my work. This includes, but is not limited to, news of new articles, new releases, general updates on my work as it relates to this site, recommendations for books, other sites, etc.
You can remove your information from this database at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in every email.

How long your data is retained
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
